Description

My last shot I will be submitting from the Cadillac museum. I loved alot of the shots but the lighting in there was almost this yellowish collor. Most ugly. Anyway this car shot was taken in the front show room with massive windows. I just love these old car hood ornaments! :D

What an interesting image! The use of depth-of-field to create a sense of motion...head in focus, with ever increasing blur as the eye moves back, is nothing less than inspired. My only criticism is that the ornament seems about to run headlong into the left edge of the composition...I would say not enough room to "move" into the frame. I know that sometimes we literally cannot allow more room, or we get in a hurry and don't see something that causes us to crowd the frame, but this composition, while good, would have been better for me if the figure could "fly" with more ease.

On the plus side are the aforementioned sense of motion, the tonality of the piece and the fact that it's not just another shot of a hood ornament.
